If you see Lou

I love the surf, I love the sand,
I love the the bays,
I love the waterways of Maryland;
But, since I have no one to hold,
The sunshine just makes me feel cold.

This Fern Hill man is missing Lou;
If you see Lou in Becky or Bergoo,
Tell her to catch a bus or train;
Please say to her, Go back to Fern hill Lane.

One trucker saw Lou walking down
The road that passes Morgantown.
At daylight's end, Lou called a friend;
She said, I am at Meadow Mall.
Lou did not make another call.

If Lou comes home, we will not fight;
I will not sing; I will not write;
I'll hold her hand or feed the birds;
I will not be arranging words.
